Location ~ Location ~ Location
Danville is centrally located, 45 minutes North of Greensboro, NC, 60 minutes South of Lynchburg, VA,
and 60 minutes Southeast of Roanoke. This puts the Tank Museum right in the middle of some unique and
well know military attractions, wineries and not far from the breathtaking Shenandoah Valley area. Whether your group
is just passing thru or planning an overnight stay, you will not want to miss this outstanding museum and the good ole
southern hospitality that awaits you in Danville, Virginia.
There are many local hotels in the area that offer group rates and many fine restaurants from good southern home cooking
to more upscale metropolitan fare. Please visit Dan River Hospitality
& Travel Association
Danville-Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce for hotels, restaurants
and other
attractions of interest in the area.

The Museum staff has endeavored
to make our group policies as flexible and attractive to groups and tour operators as possible.
Reasonable group
minimums that reflect the museum's admission discounts.
A booking policy that allows you the
tour operator to sell your tours any time during our open hours, and then book those tours that sell with the museum.
And a policy that allows the museum staff advanced notice of your arrival, so that an awesome adventure is provided for your
group here at the Tank Museum.
The museum fully understands cancellations and delays, and hope that this policy can alleviate some of the cancellation
stress for both the tour operator and the museum staff. There is no reason to book a tour with the museum
3 to 6 months in advance. If a tour sells with the Tank Museum as a stop on the itinerary all the better for everyone
~ if it does not sell then alot of paperwork, time and stress has been saved on both sides.
Delays are life, which neither of us can foresee, a courtesy phone call to the museum would be very much appreciated.
Please take a moment to look though our site and see some of the wonderful exhibitions that are in store for your group. If after
reading this you still have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Museum for further information.
