The journey through military history just got better at the Tank Museum with the opening of its newest exhibit. Some 400 artifacts have been but on display many of them named to special military units or soldiers. These items were all used and cherished by tank and cavalry soldiers.

Here are just a few of the steins, mugs, cups, dinnerware and sterling silver presentation pieces that are on exhibit.

Several decanters and statues have also been put on exhibit. Some of these decanters depict famous soldiers thru military history

This is a powderpuff compact that a soldier may have purchased in the PX to send home to his sweetheart or mother.




challenge coin challenge coin Here are two challenge coins that were issued to soldiers.
Challenge coins were an unofficial element of military culture, and became quite an item during Vietnam. Soldiers used these coins to identify themselves as part of a team. They bartered drinks, duty, and in at least one incident a soldier even saved his life with his coin.
